The schedule for the much-awaited ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, which will take place in India later this year, has been released by the International Cricket Council (ICC). This is the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup. For the first time, India will host the complete 2023 World Cup after co-hosting three previous tournaments in the years 1987, 1996, and 2011 with other nations on the Indian subcontinent.
The competition was initially planned to take place from 9 February to 26 March 2023. But in July 2020, it was revealed that the event would be postponed to an October–November period due to the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to the qualification timetable.
The 50-over competition will get underway on October 5 and end on November 19. The opening match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 will take place on October 5 in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium between England and New Zealand.
